Beach Volleyball Locations

Essex has three beach court locations, one in Clacton on Sea, at the end of the seafront behind the Toby Carvery. Another is in Southend next to the Southend Marine Activities Centre on Eastern Esplanade.  They are free to use and there is no need to book. The newest courts are based at the Brentwood International Sports Centre just off the A12, these may require a booking and a fee.

Clacton has two courts and they are up from April to September each year. The local beach patrol put them up at weekend bewteen 11am and 7pm and daily in school holiday time.

The local club (Tendring VC) run beach sessions throughtout the summer. There is a Facebook Page with information regarding regular session and people looking for friendlys.  More information about the courts can be found on the social beach page.

The courts are located around the back of the centre by the astro turf pitches, this is to protect them from the wind. There are 2 full size courts set up but 1 of these has 2 temporary courts on them, helping more people play at the same time.

Tony Clark runs a number of sessions in the evening, contact him for more details.
